Alberta Women’s Health Foundation
The Alberta Women’s Health Foundation is an initiative of the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation, dedicated to advancing women’s healthcare through advocacy, funding and research. Project management support was required in the development of the new brand for the AWHF. The result was a comprehensive brand development that reflected organizational goals, stakeholder feedback and the values and mission of the new initiative.
THE GOAL
Before the establishment of the AWHF brand, there was not a province-wide women's health-centric platform in Alberta. The goal of this project was to create a separate brand for communications purposes that was specific to women's healthcare that could be a voice for advocacy, increase awareness around women's health issues and fill gaps in research.
THE WORK
Project management services were required to execute the project. Elizabeth managed timelines and communications with communications teams, stakeholder groups and the creative agency of choice through the discovery process, creative inception, feedback, revision and finalization of the creative process.
The scope of work also included support in selecting the creative agency of choice by creating a shortlist of vetted candidates and soliciting and presenting proposals to key decision makers.
The discovery process included engagement with stakeholders from the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation, the Lois Hole Hospital for Women, and the Lois Hole Women's Society.
Elizabeth provided ongoing communication management between the creative agency and the client throughout the project. In addition, she provided weekly reporting and quality control and strategic recommendations where required.
THE RESULTS
The outcome is a brand that reflects the goals, mission and values of the organization and stakeholder groups, separate from the Royal Alex brand, and focused on bringing equity to women's healthcare.
