Tourism Langley

Tourism Langley is a Destination Marketing Organization (D.M.O.), and not-for-profit society, governed by an independent Board of Directors who is mandated to deliver effective marketing strategies that will generate increased visitation, extended stays, more revenues and increased daily expenditures for businesses in the Township of Langley.

THE GOAL

Elizabeth joined the team as the Fractional Destination Marketing Manager for a one-year contract while a team member was on leave. Significant projects were identified and prioritized, and responsibilities included executing strategic goals, managing marketing operations, engaging the community and partners, and fostering strong internal team and vendor relationships.

THE WORK

Ongoing Destination Marketing and Management Support: Providing continuous support to align marketing operations with strategic goals.

• Strategic and Tactical Planning: Creating and executing the annual tactical plan that aligns with the organization’s 5-year strategic plan.

• Project Management: Overseeing the deliverables of grants and a rebrand project, ensuring timely and effective project completion.

• Annual and Interim Performance Reporting

• Community and Partner Engagement to build strong, collaborative relationships.

• Communication and Budget Management: Managing internal and external communications and overseeing budget planning and monitoring to ensure efficient resource allocation.

THE RESULTS

Throughout the one-year contract, multiple significant projects were completed, including a comprehensive rebrand and execution of two grants.

Marketing operations were streamlined and elevated, with internal standard operating procedures developed, external vendor support evaluated, and necessary changes implemented.

Annual planning and reporting were completed promptly, and budgets were managed and refined as needed.
